With the use of e-cigarettes becoming more popular, they are trending all over social media. They are also being marketed as a safe alternative to smoking, while it is a safer alternative, it is still dangerous and not healthy. There is a common misconception that they help with quitting cigarettes, this however has not been officially proven. It is just another addictive habit in a different form. Also, its many varieties of flavors and aesthetics have an appeal to younger generations.

Who is Using Them?3.7% (around 9 million) adults regularly use an e-cigarette. In 2015, 1 in 6 high school students reported using an e-cigarette in the past month.
